There are plenty of characters to choose from inWuthering Waves, some aren’t going to be as good as others, but they are all viable for the most part. Each character will have several pros and cons to what comes with their kits. Aalto is a character that isn’t nearly as strong as most characters we have in the game so far, but he does have some nice tricks up his sleeve. Aalto is a hybrid dps character who will create wind clones of himself to distract enemies and can charge up his shots by passing through the wind gates that he summons. Aalto also has an Outro Skill to buff the next character to replace him on the field, giving them an Aero damage buff for 14 seconds.

Wuthering Waves: Lingyang Build Guide

Lingyang offers promising damage potential and a unique playstyle.

Best Weapons For Aalto

There are quite a few weapons to choose from to enhance Aalto’s damage potential. What you want most for him is to charge up his energy and buff other Aero characters as soon as possible. TheStatic Mist5-star weapon will be the best choice for almost every character that uses Pistols as their weapon. Static Mist will increase Aalto’sEnergy Regenby12%and when hisOutro Skillis used, thenext character’s attackwill beincreased by 10%for14 seconds. This is the perfect weapon of choice for Aalto, and he will benefit greatly from this weapon. It will be the ideal option to pick up and you can get the weapon easily upon reachingUnion Level 45.

Another runner-up weapon to take a look at is theNovaburst4-star. This weapon is going to be especially useful on Aalto due to how often he utilizes dodges. When Aalto dashes or dodges while using Novaburst, he will get anattack buff of 4%that canstackup to3 timesand last for8 seconds. This is a strong choice for Aalto and anyone using him should consider it when building him. It offers a nice attack buff and the stacks are easy to get maxed out, making this an easy-to-use weapon and a good one to complement his tools in combat.

Wuthering Waves: Rover (Havoc) Guide

Rover’s Havoc form hits hard and doesn’t require much to get them to be one of the best damage dealers.

A nice 4-star to also keep in mind should be the 4-star namedPistols #26. This will be another weapon to work well with Aalto’s frequent dodging. The weapon won’t directly benefit from this, but it will still help a ton. The benefit of Pistols #26 is that when Aalto takes no damage he will get anattack increaseof6%every5 seconds. This canstack 2 timesand will last up to8 secondsand if Aalto does take damage he willlose 1 stackbut have his HPrestored by 5%. This is a nice alternative for a weapon if you don’t have either of the above options and you can still benefit from Aalto’s kit.

One more weapon to look for, if the others aren’t an option, will be theUndying Flame4-star weapon. While it won’t offer the same utility as the others, it will provide aResonance Skilldamage bonus of20%once Aalto’sIntro Skillis used. This bonus will last for 5 seconds and can be fairly useful when used for Aalto. It has an easy-to-activate buff that is only tied to your other characters building up Concerto Energy, making this a nice backup option for anyone in need of something until a greater choice comes into play.

Best Echo and Sonata Effect For Aalto

When thinking of echo buffs to use for Aalto, you’ll want to consider getting theMoonlit CloudsSonata Effect for him. When you havetwoof the corresponding echoes, theEnergy Regenwill beincreased by 10%. If you’ve gotten allfiveechoes with the Moonlit Clouds effect, Aalto willincreasethenext character’s attack by 22%for15 secondsupon using hisOutro Skill. This is quite possibly the best choice for a Sonata Effect for Aalto, as it maximizes the buffs he can apply to the next character in your team’s rotation. There may be some other strong options to choose for a Sonata Effect, but Moonlit Clouds will provide the most bang for your buck.

Impermanence Heronwill be your primary echo of choice if you are going with the Moonlit Clouds Sonata Effect. This echo is a transformation echo that will allow Aalto to deal Havoc damage to enemies, and if you hold the echo attack button, the echo will do a continuous attack while in the air. Upon using Aalto’sOutro Skill,within15 secondsof activating the echo, the next character will receive a damage boost of12%,lasting15 seconds. The damage boost is what makes Impermanence Heron ideal for Aalto and adds to his buff potential for the team.

Best Characters to Team With Aalto

Aalto will work best with other characters that deal Aero Damage due to his outro skill buff. If you don’t pair him with other Aero characters, you’ll lose a lot of Aalto’s potential. With this in mind, you will want to pair him withJinyanif you had gotten him in the 1.0 starting banner. When Jinyan receives Aalto’s buff, he will benefit greatly as all of Jinyan’s attacks will deal Aero damage. The only real downside to pairing the two together is that the two don’t have the strongest synergy in the game.

Another possible character pairing for damage isJianxin. She is one of the more versatile characters in the game as she can be used for damage, support, and shielding. With enough effort you may make her a hybrid character as well. The only issue would be losing out on some damage output from her. She won’t be able to provide buffs to the team reliably, but she does have the bonus of being the best shield character in the game so far. Since Jianxin is also an Aero character, she will make a nice pairing with Aalto and would greatly benefit from his buffs.

Aalto Echo Example

If you need healers for the team, you can also outfit Jianxin with a specific weapon to apply healing, but it won’t be nearly as good as whatVerinaorBaizhican produce for the team. Both are similar, but Verina should be your first pick for healer if you’ve gotten her. Verina can buff the entire team and provide some stellar healing. Her buffs are going to provide a15% damage bonusand this buff will last30 secondsinstead of 6 seconds like Baizhi’s buffs. Both are viable and worth considering for your healer slot in a team.

Aalto may not be the strongest character inWuthering Waves, but he does have some nice benefits for other Aero characters. With the right Sonata Effect equipped for him, he’ll get some nice bonuses out of his buffs, and paired with proper weapons, he’ll get a lot of work done. The only issue you may run into while using Aalto is synergy with his kit. Aalto has an odd way to play while on the field and if you aren’t attuned to it you may struggle for quite some time. Practice with him and learn how he plays before taking him into some of the harder content the game has to offer.
