There are so many differentvolumelevels to configure in iOS that it’s not even funny. One moment you’re turning down your volume, and the next, you might realize that you’ve just muted your ringtone instead of quieting down your Now Playing volume.
iOS tries to be smart about how it configures volume depending on what you’re doing at any given point in time, but it’s far from perfect. As you might’ve gathered already from the “3” designation in this tweak’s name, Volume Mixer isn’t a new jailbreak tweak; instead, this is the latest iterationin an ongoing seriesaimed at making the volume experience on the iOS platform just flat-out better.

Volume Mixer 3 also adds a preference pane to the Settings app where you may configure a variety of options:
Here, you can:
Because I think the native volume experience sucks on the iOS platform, I’ll be the first to recommend checking out the Volume Mixer 3 tweak if you’re new tojailbreaking. It’sa $1.99 download from the Packix repositoryin Cydia or Sileo, but in my honest opinion, it’s worth every penny. Volume Mixer 3 supports all pwned iOS 10, 11, and 12 devices.
