The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Reveals Gameplay in New Trailer
In the latest trailer for Gollum we get a look at the game which is story-driven stealth adventure game. The footage shows a first look at gameplay including Gollum sneaking past enemies, and climbing mountains as well as platforming. It also shows some of the distraction mechanics as well as a few enemies such as giant spiders, orcs and more this misunderstood creature will face.
In case you missed it The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will focus on the first few chapters of The Fellowship of the Ring from Gollum’s perspective. The adventure takes place after Gollum loses his precious ring to Bilbo Baggins. In order to regain what is his, he leaves the Misty Mountains and takes him on a perilous journey that goes from the dungeons of the Barad-dûr to the realm of the Wood-elves in Mirkwood. Gollum won’t only have to worry about enemies but his own personal struggle between his more Hobbit-self Sméagol and his more ruthless side. It will be up to the player to make decisions whether they want Gollum to persist or Sméagol.
Previously NACON and developer Daedalic Entertainment revealed Gollum would be coming toconsoles and PC with a release date of September 1st. The Switch version is expected to arrive sometime later in 2022.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollumwill be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on September 1st 2022. A physical edition will also be available for consoles.
