Star Wars: The Force Awakensfans were finally able to purchase new merchandise over the long weekend, which kicked off withForce Friday. A number of these items were revealed during the live unboxing event last Thursday, but today we have new artwork from even more merchandise, which gives us a better look at some of the new characters. If that wasn’t enough,LEGOhas unveiled seven brief animated videos that showcase their new playsets forStar Wars: The Force Awakens.
The images come courtesy of the French websiteLes Toiles Heroiques, with the first poster featuring several characters such asKylo Ren(Adam Driver),Rey(Daisy Ridley),Finn(John Boyega),Captain Phasma(Gwendoline Christie), Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), R2-D2 (Kenny Baker), C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) and the new ball droid BB-8. We also get a look at the First Order Stormtroopers, plus a calendar image that features all of the aforementioned characters, along with Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac). Unfortunately, these images do not feature any of the returning main trio ofStar Warscharacters.

We have only gotten brief glimpses ofHarrison Ford’s Han Solo andCarrie Fisherin the previously-released trailers and the behind-the-scenes video that debuted at Comic-Con, but we still haven’t seen any official photo or video footage ofMark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker. DirectorJ.J. Abramsrevealed at Comic-Con that the new trailer will debut sometime this fall, but we still don’t have an exact premiere date at this time. Now that Force Friday is behind us, hopefully we’ll find out more about this highly-anticipated trailer in the days and weeks to follow.
In related news, LEGO has debuted seven new animated videos that showcase their new playsets fromStar Wars: The Force Awakens, which are all available for purchase through theLEGO website. These playsets include Rey’s Speeder, First Order Snowspeeder, Poe’s X-Wing Fighter, First Order Special Forces Tie Fighter, First Order Transporter, Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle and the iconic Millennium Falcon. These animated videos show the toys in action, but it isn’t known if these brief scenes depict any actual footage fans will see whenStar Wars: The Force Awakenshits theaters on December 18.
