Thanks to the success enjoyed byPac-Man World: Re-Pacafter it launched in 2022, Pac-Man World’s sequel is confirmed to be getting the same remake treatment. Yes, Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC is real, and fans based on PC and Switch only have to wait until September 26 to get their hands on it. Everyone else need not worry; it’s coming to the PlayStation and Xbox systems too, but not until a still unannounced later date.
Review: Pac-Man World Re-Pac
There’s a lot to enjoy here and if you enjoy 3D platforming or Pac-Man games, you need to give Pac-Man World Re-Pac a shot.
Just like with its predecessor, Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC will come in two varieties: Digital Standard and Digital Deluxe. Both come with pre-order bonuses, and those who already own Pac-Man World Re-Pac will receive an exclusive Toc-Man skin once the game launches. As for the digital deluxe bonuses, they include three collaboration stages, 1 collaboration costume, twenty collaboration figures and the “Legendary PAC LAND” costume.
Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC takes fans back to Pac Land for a revised and updated adventure to save it from the ghost’s latest scheme. See, they’ve stolen the magical golden fruit from the tree that sits in the middle of Pac-Village and released Spooky, the ghost king. Spooky wants nothing more than the total elimination of all Pac-people but needs the golden fruit out of the way to do so. It’s quite literally life or death for Pac-Man and his friends this time, so it’s time for Pac Land’s hero to get to work once more.

Justlike with the previous game,Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC appears to be a mostly faithful remaster of the original with some extra content features and quality-of-life updates included in the package. Of these, the most notable are Pac Village, where players can freely roam and display collectable figures; two-player co-op, wherein one player controls a Pac Dot-collecting drone; challenges, costumes and a new landing target for greater platforming precision.

Most levels and boss battles have also been updated and even expanded in some cases to provide both longtime fans and newcomers something to enjoy as they make their way through Pac-Land. Oh, and Pac-Man may or may not have a voice this time around. It’s by no means confirmed, but the announcement trailer above sounded like Pac-Man was narrating. Pac-Man has rarely spoken in the past, so this might take some getting used to for some.
Pac-Man actually did have a proper voice in Pac-Man World 3, so this isn’t unheard of. Still, it’ll be a little odd to hear a character talk that was silent in the original game.
Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC launches for PC, Switch and Switch 2 on September 26, with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions launching at a later date. Pre-orders are currently only open for PC, Switch and Switch 2, and pre-order items include four Team Ghost costumes and four Team Ghost figures.
