Following anever-ending stream of leaks, Motorola is finally officially back with three new clamshell foldable smartphones: theRazr, the Razr+, and the Razr Ultra.
While all three foldables are similar to last year’s models, including the titanium hinge, the expansive front-mounted exterior screen that looks far better than theGalaxy Z Flip 5’sCover Display, and two rear-facing cameras, there are a few notable improvements and additions – but the one that stands out to me the most is the bright new colors that are part of Motorola’spartnership with Pantone.

Moto Razr Ultra (2025)
The Motorola Razr Ultra (2025) is a solid all-around clamshell foldable thanks to its durable design, Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and expansive cover display.
First off, there’s the $1,300 Razr Ultra, the most expensive smartphone in Motorola’s foldable lineup. The clamshell foldable is powered by Qualcomm’sSnapdragon 8 Elitechip with 16GB of RAM and 512/1TB of storage. The smartphone also features a 50-megapixel main shooter and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera that works as a macro shooter. The Razr Ultra also supports 2x optical zoom.
Other notable specs include the biggest battery in the 2025 Razr lineup at 4,700 mAh, alongside the fastest charging at 68W wired and 30W through Qi. The display is a 7-inch 2992 x 1224 pixel resolution 165Hz OLED, with a 4-inch pOLED panel on the outside. There are a few unique finishing options too, including an Alcantara back, a satin-inspired material, faux leather, and a wood grain panel. The Razr Ultra comes in rio red, scarab, cabaret, and mountain trail.

Moto Razr+ (2025)
With the $1,000 Razr+, things are slightly more toned down. The smartphone features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. Its main OLED display is slightly smaller at 6.9-inches 2640 x 1080 pixel resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate. Its battery is also a cut under the Razr Ultra’s at 4,000 mAh.
The Razr+ rear-facing shooters both feature 50-megapixels, with the second lens offering 2x optical zoom, but there’s no wide-angle or macro camera. The Razr+ is available in mocha mousse, midnight blue, and hot pink.

Lastly, there’s the $700 Razr. The lowest-end device in Razr’s lineup is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chip with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There are concessions on the screen side too, with the base-level foldable featuring a 2640 x 1080 pixel resolution 6.9-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the camera front, the Razr features two 13-megapixel shooters. However, its battery comes in at 4,500 mAh compared to the Razr+’s 4,000 mAh. Alongside its new devices, Motorola also announced an AI suite that it developed alongside Google, Amazon, and more. We’ve seen a lot of these features before fromGalaxy AIandGemini, including an Image Studio capable of generating photos and avatars, but there are also more interesting features like PlayList Studio, which lets you use Amazon Music to build an AI-powered tracklist based on your current vibe.
