Capcom have announced the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Expansion will be coming to consoles on April 28th.
Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Expansion Hits PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Series X|S in April
Console fans finally get a release date for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, which is arriving on April 28th. Platforms PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X|S will be able to explore Sunbreak at the end of April.
The Arrival of Sunbreak
Both PlayStation and Xbox are catching up to the Switch and PC versions of Monster Hunter Rise. The base game was released earlier this year on January 20th. This left console players a little behind on the monster content, however, it looks to be catching up in a couple of months time.
Sunbreak introduces a new area calledElgado. It also brings a number of new and returning monsters to the franchise. Introducing quests are new NPCs which will help guide and expand the story. Capcom shares that the content will be up to version 1.3. This brings the game up monsters such as theChaotic Gore Magala.
Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak on PS and Xbox will also help widen the number of actions available weapons-wise. It also means players can now style their weapons how they want to with the use ofLayered Weapons. Just like theLayered Armorsystem, you can select differentWeaponappearances without affecting the actual weapon stats.
Pre-orders and Title Update 5
Capcom is planning to have a Sunbreak spotlighted showcase in April, this will go into further detail about Title Update 5. There are also some bonuses available for players who want to pre-order the expansion.
The digital deluxe edition will grants players some layered armor for their buddiesPalamutesandPalicos. It also includes gestures, poses, makeup and further hair options. An additional Palamute “Loyal Dog Costume” and Palico “Striped Cat Costume” will be unlocked as a pre-order bonus.
Monster Hunter Rise players will get free Defender Weapons, Black Belt Armor and a Veteran’s Talisman through theDLCpack which will release on March 10th 2023. Defender weapons are great for beginner players as they give high starts. It’s intent is to help bring players up to speed in their initial journey through the base game and higher-ranked content.
