Kick streamer Norme banned after accidentally setting his room on fire

Kick streamer ‘Norme’ was banned from the platform after a viewer dared him to pour Coca-Cola on his laptop, resulting in a fiery blaze that engulfed his room.

You might remember Norme from his previous viral stunts, such as the time he unofficially beat the world record for going thelongest time without sleepingback in August 2024.

Nearly a year later, he’s getting attention for another dangerous move after a viewer dared him to pour soda onto his gaming laptop during a broadcast on June 22.

Norme had complained that the computer was overheating while he was playingRoblox. In response, chatters told him to cool it down with a can of Coca-Cola he was drinking — something that quickly spiraled out of control.

“It’s smoking a little bit,” Norme noticed as he placed the laptop on the floor. “The laptop is smoking a little bit, what does that mean? It’s making a bunch of weird noises. Did y’all lie to me?”

Not long after, Norme held up the laptop for his viewers to see, showing that it had literally caught fire off-screen. In an attempt to put out the flames, he threw the computer face-down on his bed to smother it… something that also didn’t go well.

“Wait, no!” the streamer cried as he tried to extinguish the growing blaze with the rest of his soda, eventually resorting to using a proper fire extinguisher — but it didn’t help, and the fire continued to spread.

Eventually, the stream went dark. Norme addressed the situation in a series of posts on X, rallying against Kick for banning him because of an “accident.”

“No way I got banned again,” he wrote. “Bro what the F? I nearly died, what is your goddamn problem Kick?”

Thus far, it’s unclear how long Norme will be banned — but this isn’t the first time the platform has taken action against him for his broadcasts.

During his famous no sleep stream in 2024, Norme wassuspended from numerous platforms for “violating community guidelines.” Eventually, he finished his marathon on Rumble to the tune of 9,000.

While emergency medical services were called to evaluate his health after spending 11 days with no rest, ourinterview with a sleep expertassured us that Norme likely won’t experience any lasting issues as a result of his viral stunt.
