Honkai Star Rail: Mundane Troubles mission walkthrough
The second mission of the Crown of the Mundane and Divine Trailblaze Continuance of Honkai Star Rail will start with you traveling to the Master Control Zone. Although you will be initially tasked to inform Asta about Ruan Mei’s departure, the objective will soon change due to another situation coming up. You will get a new message from the Herta Surveillance Team group chat, where you will find a broadcast video informing you about an attack on Herta by unknown perpetrators.
Afterward, you need to teleport to Herta’s Office, but as you teleport, the screen will go dark and you will wake up in a room with Asta, Screwllum, and a new character. The new character will be telling others that the last to lay eyes on Herta’s puppet before the attack was you, and cast suspicions on you. Soon, Asta will introduce the new character to you as Dr. Ratio, a delegate from the IPC, who is here to investigate the attack on Herta.
After a few dialogues, Dr. Ratio will start interrogating you about what you were doing the last time you saw Herta’s puppet. The interrogation will send you to a memory backtrack where you will need to recall memories using Memory Bubbles. Here is the complete sequence of the things you will need to do in this process:

After finishing the recall process, Dr. Ratio will still suspect you and keep on questioning. Here, you will need to engage in a debate with him and answer each question correctly to prove him wrong. Here are all the questions he will ask, and your answers to pass the interrogation. Keep in mind that you will need to select pieces of evidence to show, to back up your answers.
After the debate with Dr. Ratio is over, you will soon receive another message on the Herta Surveillance Team group chat about the Annihilation Gang taking up responsibility for the attack. Afterward, you will visit the Master Control Zone to collect clues from Arlan and Wen Shiling.
After receiving all the clues, you will sit in a discussion with the investigation team again and present some clues to them. Here are the statements that will be made during the discussion alongside the clues you must present.
After presenting all the evidence, the infernal fire will swallow Asta in the middle of the discussion. This will start an Exploratory Excursion called “The Escaped Infernal Fire” where you must select a team with four characters to fight against the enemies. Keep in mind that, among the four characters, you must give one spot to Dr. Ratio as he will be available during this challenge as atrial character.
After completing the challenge, a brief cutscene will be shown, and Dr. Ratio will take his leave from the space station, ending the mission. As a reward for completing the mission, you will receive x120 Stellar Jade, x10 Traveler’s Guide, x8 Refined Aether, x8 Lost Crystal, and x132000 Credits. You will also receive Dr. Ratio Visitor Verification and the Divine Verso, Mundane Recto Achievement.
The Mundane Troubles mission will let you use Dr. Ratio as a trial character, however, after phase 2 of Version 1.6, you may obtain this5-star character for free.
