The Boulder Breaker is essentially a beefed-up version of theGoron’s Cobble Crusher. It deals more damage and looks a lot cooler than its cheaper counterpart.Breath of the Wildfans may also remember that this was the weapon of Daruk, the Goron Champion. And while there’s a short quest involved before you get to use it, it’s worth doing. It also doesn’t take too long, so let’s go through all the steps to getting the Boulder Breaker inTears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom: How to get the Boulder Breaker

Before you’re able to get the Boulder Breaker yourself, you need to talk to Rohan and Fugo on Goron City. They’re located just in front of a building surrounded by water at the back of the village. Check the map below for the exact location.

Once you’ve spoken to the Rohan and Fugo you’ll get a quest called “Soul of the Gorons” afterward. Fugo needs aCobble Crusher, three diamonds, and five pieces of Flintto make the Boulder Breaker. And if you’ve alreadyacquired the Lightscale Tridentthis list probably seems familiar. But now we’ve got to find another way to scrounge up three diamonds.

The easiest way to get diamonds is unfortunately the slowest. By breakingore veins dotted across Hyruleyou should occasionally come across a diamond every so often. Some Shrines also offer up diamonds as a reward. Most of the shrines I’ve seen offer diamonds have been among the Sky Islands, so looking up there is a good idea. Alternatively there is a merchant in Goron City that sells diamonds for 1,000 Rupees each. So now might be the time to use theinfinite Rupee glitch.

After you have the necessary materials, head back to Rohan and Fugo to claim the Boulder Breaker for yourself. The best part of the Boulder Breaker is thatFugo can make another one if your own gets broken or lost. He’ll need a Cobble Crusher, three diamonds, and five pieces of flint again though. So ensure you keep an eye out for those materials as you spend time with your shiny new Boulder Breaker inTears of the Kingdom.
