House of the Dragon cut beloved character from finale and now everyone’s mad
House of the Dragon Season 2’s closing montage teased the fate of almost every character in the Game of Thrones spinoff – though someone was notably missing.
Whether you loved it or hated it,House of the Dragon Season 2’sfinal episode gave a definitive overview of where everyone was headed. Everyone exceptCregan Stark, that is.

The Lord of Winterfell was first introduced in the opening scene of Season 2, with a small glimpse of the partnership between him andJacaerys Velaryon. Although only appearing for a few moments,House of the Dragon viewersloved getting a glimpse of the Starks of Westeros past.
However, he didn’t appear at all in the finale, despite the Northern army (also known as the Winter Wolves) marching towards their fate. But, as it turns out, Cregan Stark was actually supposed to be featured.

In the scene in question, he would have been shown marching with his army across the Twins. In the aired version, it’s merely a shot of the soldiers themselves moving forward.

Knowing a scene with Cregan was shot and simply cut from the final edit is a tough pill to swallow for some fans, who wanted to see more of the lord from the moment they first met him.
As one X/Twitter userwrote: “Surely some of those Tyland scenes could’ve been skipped to make room for him.”

“How does Cregan Stark not make the cut? Especially with the way that episode went,” anothersaid.
Anotherthreatened: “HBO count your days.”
“Someone tell me if this is true because if they cut him from the final scene I’m hopping on my dragon and we are going to lay waste to something,” saidanother.
