Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes shows off new footage in its “Awakened Rivals” trailer. It also gets a demo that transfers progress into the full game when it releases.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes Receives Generous Demo and New Trailer
We first heard ofFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopesback on February 10 of this year. It is a rare experience to revisit an already existing world in Fire Emblem, and with a totally different genre at that. Three Hopes, an alternate story to 2017’s excellentFire Emblem: Three Houses, is a musou spinoff developed by many supporting companies.
As such, Three Hopes will not take on the usual turn-based gameplay loop that the Fire Emblem series is known for. Instead, it will take on the characters and setting of Three Houses and tell a different story from a different angle.

Warriors at the Ready
This time around, we play as Shez, a mercenary who is eager to take down a rival gang. They are thrust into a legendary foe, the “Ashen Demon”. The Ashen Demon is actually our character, Byleth, from the Three Houses game.
Our latest trailer shows off tons of combat footage featuring Shez mowing down legions of soldiers. They are able to singlehandedly take out dozens of foes at a time and have some amazing area of attack abilities. Fans of the musou genre and Dynasty Warriors will feel right at home in Three Hopes.

The trailer also shows us a montage that is filled with a whole bunch of characters, including some fond favorites from the previous game. Each and every character is given some spotlight that showed off some cool abilities and their voice acting.
The Three Houses
We also get a glimpse of some extra-curricular activities that Shez can partake in. Much like Three Houses, Three Hopes will have a socializing aspect wherein they can get to know the students of the Garreg Mach Monastery.
Just like before, the player will need to eventually decide which of the Houses to join. Whatever the player chooses will dictate the storyline moving forward. Three Hopes has three new storylines, each unique depending on the faction.

One option would be to align oneself with Dimitri and the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus. The Adrestian Empire is ruled over by Edelgard. Lastly, the Leicester Alliance is what you’ll align with if you join Claude.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes Demo
As of right now, a demo is available for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. The amount of content is rather generous, in fact, as fans have the option to play until Chapter 4 in the story, including a prologue.
The Demo introduces us to our main hero (or heroine). It goes over the basics of combat, such as performing combos, switching characters, issuing orders, and unleashing powerful ultimate-like abilities.

More importantly, it sets the stage for the rest of the game. Things will feel very familiar if you’ve played a good share of Three Houses. It will be like looking back on memory lane as you get to revisit the cast that players would’ve spent at least 50 to 60 hours with.
We are also introduced to Arval, a mysterious being that lives in our heads. Arval is much like the spirit that Byleth was blessed by. Whether he is a friend or foe will only be determined by time.

Players will even receive some minor bonuses if they have any saved game data from Fire Emblem Three Houses on your Nintendo Switch. For example, the game will automatically load your main character’s name from Thee Houses if you renamed them. Any progress made in the demo will also carry over into the full game when it releases on June 24.
