It didn’t take long aftertihmstar released his voucher_swap-like v1ntex exploitwith support for 4K devices, for the Electra Team to roll out an update toElectrawith official support for A7[X] and A8[X] devices. Version 1.2.3 is now the latest iteration of Electra available to the public.
The Electra Teammade the announcement on TwitterThursday morning, explaining that they had replacedtihmstar’s threadm1ll exploitwith the v1ntex variety for A7[X] and A8[X] devices, a move that makes Electra universally-supported among all devices running iOS 11.0-11.4.1:

Citing the changelog on the Electra Team’s website, Electra version 1.2.3 encompasses the following changes:
– Replace threadm1ll exploit with v1ntex for A7 & A8 devices on 11.2-11.4.1

– Fix initial ldrestart not working on some devices
As it would seem, the update not only adds support for tihmstar’s new v1ntex exploit, but it also fixes an issue with ldrestart not working as expected on certain devices.
If you’re using Electra, or plan to use it going forward, then you candownload the newest version from the Electra Team’s official website. Alternatively, Pwn20wnd is working to add similar support to hisunc0verjailbreak, so you could opt to wait for this update if you prefer not to use Electra.
