It has become quite a common trend for the hero of a series to be more like a villain when it comes to their actions. There is no better example of this than Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen fromArrow. The character was a perfect example of a man who was as much in the wrong as he was in the right, having a sense of great morality but at the same time, making some very bad decisions.

Even though he played the role of the moral police within theArrowverse, while simultaneously killing and not killing as he pleases, it is safe to say that his sense of good was rarely consistent. With this in mind, here are five of the worst things that Oliver has done, which make him worse than most villains in the DCU.
Shooting Roy With an Arrow
It becomes a common theme inArrowforStephen Amell’scharacter to do very weird things for weird reasons. Not trusting his team in season 6 simply because they disbanded is one of them. The conflict was easily avoidable, and it almost seemed like it was added for the sake of it. Considering the fact that his romantic life isn’t the best example to look for stability in his morals, his dynamic with his team was the one that grew the most over the seasons. With this, one cannot help but wonder why such a decision was taken.
The Green Arrow’s Soft Spot for Malcolm Merlyn
Despite Malcolm Merlyn being the bane of all of Oliver’s problems, he finds it very difficult to punish or kill him. There have been several occasions where he has gotten the opportunity to right all of his wrongs. However, Queen always seems to stray away from hurting the father of his sister, even giving him control of the League of Shadows as its leader.
Helldivers 2 Tesla Tower Stunlock Mechanic is Lowkey a Hilarious Bug We Hope Arrowhead Never Fixes
It is safe to say that considering the amount of damage that he has caused over the years, Merlyn does not deserve special treatment from the Green Arrow.
Cheating on Laurel Lance
It was a well-established fact that Oliver cheated on Laurel Lance multiple times. The two separate occasions are both horrible in their own way. In one, he cheated on Laurel with her own sister, only for her to find out about it when she heard the news of his passing on the Queen’s Gambit. The other time he cheated on her was by getting together with Samantha Clayton, a woman he met in college and got pregnant.
Not Caring About Laurel’s Alcohol Issues During the Lance Family Dinner
Most famously, Oliver showed up to the Lance family dinner at the height of Laurel’s alcohol abuse. After all that she was going through and being at one of the lowest points in her life, Oliver attended the party while he was with Sara, who he cheated on Laurel with.
The Condition Arrowhead Set for Helldivers 2 Xbox Release Makes No Sense
It was not difficult to put together, and Laurel would not be okay with him showing up like that. It is safe to say that Katie Cassidy’s character got the brunt of Queen’s selfishness.
Being a Bad Friend to Tommy
There are many examples of Oliver Queen being a bad friend to the people around him, specifically his so-called best friend, Tommy Merlyn. However, the height of his betrayal of his best friend has to be when he tells Tommy to pursue Laurel and not give up. Only to sleep with her himself after he decided to put away his life of vigilantism. The act was a form of highest betrayal and showcased his ‘loyalty” to the ones he claimed to love.
