Soon, we’ll return to Cvstodia for a new adventure starring The Penitent One. No, it’s not Blasphemous 3, but a full DLC or expansion coming to all versions ofBlasphemous 2,the acclaimed Spanish game of 2023.
The Game Kitchen is fulfilling the fans' wishes with theMea CulpaDLC, which is based on the legendary weapon we already encountered in the first Blasphemous game.
If you’ve already completed the first two games,Blasphemous 2: Mea Culpaoffers you a new alternate ending to the sequel, as well as new areas, bosses, missions, enemies, and even a revamped New Game Plus mode.
The Mea Culpa expansion will be available on digital stores like Steam, Epic Store, and GOG, as well as PS Store, Microsoft Store, and Nintendo eShop, with a 20% discount in the first two weeks after release.
As for the release date, The Game Kitchen confirms that the DLC will be available starting Aug 16, 2025, on all versions of the game.

Additionally, players will be able to recruit four new companions in the DLC to help face the new dangers of Cvstodia with better chances of survival.
On the same day, the free True Torment update will also be released, introducing new challenges in some areas ofBlasphemous 2, as well as expanded zones, new enemies, and improvements for New Game Plus.
