Like many of the resources inBlack Myth Wukong, the Cold Iron Leaves are a limited resource and quite hard to find early on in the game. The developers have done this on purpose to prevent players from getting overpowered and making the game too easy.

Where to find Cold Iron Leaves

As you progress through Black Myth Wukong, you will gradually find more and more of the Cold Iron Leaves around the various parts of the game. They can befound in chests and shrine stores, but mostly fromboss drops. As you progress further, there will be significantly more opportunities to find this limited resource.

Cold Iron Leaves are an essential resource used for upgrading armor. Their counterpart is theRefined Iron Sandwhich is one of the core elements for upgrading weapons. You will need plenty of both if you’re looking to upgrade your gear. However, until a certain point in the game, they are both hard to come across.

Shrine Store Black Myth Wukong

Once you have beaten the boss at the end of chapter two and begun your quest intochapter three, you will start to see many more Cold Iron Leaves turning up in the game. Make sure to search chests and check the shrine stores for an easy pick-up.

However, a guaranteed method of finding Cold Iron Leaves in Black Myth Wukong is bydefeating the bosses in the game. After chapter two, they will regularly drop it when defeated, along with some other great resources. There are a ton of optional and core bosses to defeat, so you shouldn’t struggle to find them. However, actually nailing them and taking those sweet materials is another story altogether.

Best Cold Iron Leaf locations

There are three main places to find Cold Iron Leaves.

What are Cold Iron Leaves for?

Cold Iron Leaves are used solely for upgrading armor. Everything from the Epic Ochre set onwards will require some of these to craft. It’s best to checkthe complete list of armor and weaponsto see where you’re able to pick each of them up and just what you will need to build them. It would be a nightmare to finally find the armor you want and find you have spent all your resources on something worse.
