Despite a number of trailers and other footage that has already been released for Warner Bros.‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, there is still plenty we don’t know about this superhero adventure. With just over one month until this highly-anticipated movie hits theaters, new merchandise is starting to hit the shelves in conjunction with this movie, including a two-in-one companion book entitledGuide to the Caped Crusader / Guide to the Man of Steel: Movie Flip Book. This 112-page book was released today, andComic Book Moviehas compiled a gallery of new images featured in this book, which gives us a look at some ofBatman’s (Ben Affleck) weapons, along with our first look atBruce Wayne’s parents.
Last month, we reported thatThe Walking DeadstarLauren Cohanhas been cast asMartha Wayne, Bruce’s mother, alongside Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who had already been confirmed to play Bruce’s father, Thomas Wayne. This book gives us our first look at the Wayne family, including Thomas, Martha and a young Bruce Wayne (Brandon Spink), along with new images ofBatman,Superman(Henry Cavill), Lois Lane (Amy Adams), Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), Perry White (Laurence Fishburne), Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Alfred Pennyworth (Jeremy Irons).
Perhaps the most intriguing photos are those that showcaseBatman’s massive array of new gadgets, and the Batcave itself. Some of the gadgets include a new version of the Batarang throwing weapon, the grapnel gun and a crossbow. We also get a new look at the Bat-Computer, the Batcave garage and even the Batsuit case, which can apparently only be accessed through Bruce Wayne’s own handprint. We haven’t seen much of the Batcave and the Dark Knight’s weapons in the footage that has been released thus far, so hopefully we’ll see more of these gadgets in clips and TV spots leading up to the March 25 release.
