Avowed Updated
Xbox’s first-party title of 2025 has been making waves during its launch week. Avowed, Obsidian’s new RPG, is now available onXbox Series X|S and PC, as well as through various Game Pass options.
The international press praises its beautiful fantasy world (the Living Lands), a fun combat system, and a stunning technical performance powered by Unreal Engine 5. Additionally, the game is among the top-selling titles on Steam.
However,Avowedis not without its flaws. Obsidian is well aware of this, which is why they have revamped the main character’s progression system.
Now, level transitions are much smoother, meaning there are no drastic power jumps between levels, leading to a more balanced difficulty curve.
Patch 1.2.2 also introduces fixes across various aspects of the game, along with improvements to companion AI in combat. All of this and more is now available in Obsidian’s new RPG.

Patch 1.2.2 Notes
A new patch is now available for download on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a size of 66GB. This update smooths out level transitions, adjusts the progression system, and improves companion behavior, among other changes.
