If there’s one thing Pokemon trainers are all about, it’s catching them all. It’s practically half the job description. But Nianatic, the developers for Pokemon GO, refuse to let trainers know peace because many Pokemon are locked to the region they’re in. Here are all the region locked Pokemon in Pokemon GO as of 2023.

It’s a sad, sad fact that Pokemon GO is all about GOing outside. There have been many instances where I’ve stared forlornly out of a window at a Pokestop that was too far away to spin. But Region Locked Pokemon take things to a whole new level.
These Pokemon require you to actually go to the Region they’re locked to, befriend someone within 100 meters of you that owns one of those Pokemon (and is willing to trade), or participate in a rare event where those Pokemon are briefly obtainable.
