Sniper Elite: Resistancehas many personal letters to find, and each will give you context to the level your sniper is exploring. They can be very hard to find in spots, so here’s every location you can find them in. There are a total of 35 to get, so you can unlock the Pen Pal trophy or achievement.
Chapter 2 Personal Letter Locations
A Lost Soul Trembles
Go to the Basilica to the west of the map and on the second floor, up the staircase, you’ll find a safe. You’ll need to blow it up with a Satchel Charge. You can find one on the ground floor of the church near the doorway.
Missing You Dearly
In the main castle area near Vertigo’s Office, go left. You’ll see a courtyard. The letter is on the stone bench near the tall grass.
Surrounded by Idiots
Go to the library on the northeastern section of the map. It has a clock on the top of the building. At the front desk to the right, you’ll find papers you can pick up.
A Withering Tree
You’ll find this personal letter outside on a table near the building where the kill list target, Philo Beck, is standing.
A Nephew’s Concern
West of the library that’s in the northeastern section of the map, you’ll find a few benches once you go up some stairs. On the bench facing north near the Au Manoir building, you’ll find the last personal letter in this chapter.
Chapter 3 Personal Letter Locations
It may be best to find all the personal letters after finishing the game. You’ll then have a Satchel Charge ready at the start as that’s an unlockable for completing that task.
Be Safe. My Dear
First, pick up a Satchel Charge from the second floor of the first warehouse in the southern section of the map. It’s on one of the tables. After that, cross the bridge and go to the second warehouse. It’s northwest of the hotel. On the first floor, you’ll see a safe. Use the Satchel Charge to blow it up and get the personal letter inside. You can also open the safe by using the delicatessen key. It’s located in thesecond safehouseup a pipe outside the building near a staircase.
We Are Everywhere
Go into the hotel, which is in the middle of the map. It’s the location for searching foe clues on the Superweapon. Go to the third floor by going up the staircases. It’s best to be stealthy in this area as there are a lot of guards. Go to the bottom left section of the floor, and you’ll find a room with an open window. Climb to the other side and slide over to the window to the left. Under a blue and red Nazi flag, you’ll find the personal letter.
Cross of Lorraine
Enter the first safehouse in the southern section of the map. Go up the second floor of the building. Take two lefts and go into the office.
Missing Her Birthday
Go to the second floor of the bus station that’s located on the northeastern area of the map. You’ll find the letter on a bench.
The Scars of War
North of the hotel, there’s a garden area. At the top of it, you’ll find a spot that has two benches. The right bench has the last personal letter.
Chapter 4 Personal Letter Locations
A Gift, and a Name
The first letter is one of the easiest to spot in Sniper Elite: Resistance. After ziplining to the other side of the river, run up, and you’ll see a letter on the tree trapped by a knife.
I Will Miss You
The second letter is at the most northeast area of the Collision Course map. It’s to the right of theEmergency Pump side-questand the Find and eliminate intel sources main quest. You’ll need to cross the bridge to get to this area. Through the thickets of grass, you’ll find a small building that acts as a checkpoint near the road. Go inside and you’ll find the Personal Letter.
What a Discovery!
In the farm area on the southwestern section of the map, you’ll see a fountain. Go to the right of it, and you’ll find a small shed that’s locked. Use a lockpick to open it, and the personal letter will be there.
So Boring!
Go to the top-most bridge of the map. Now, go to the top right tower, and you’ll find the next personal letter waiting for you on a box.
I’m So Sorry
Go into the yellow circle on the map that outlines where you have to find and eliminate intel sources to the east of the first bridge. Near the blue-roofed buildings, there’s a wrecked house covered in moss. Go inside and you’ll see a steel ladder. Check the crates near it and you’ll find the letters on top.

Chapter 5 Personal Letter Locations
Location Exposed
Spawn in the southwestern starting point and take the left road. Take the right curve on the road and then go up the stone staircase. Follow the pathway, and a soldier should be walking around nearby. attempt to go for a headshot with a suppressed pistol. You’ll see some wooden crates ahead. Turn left at them. After that, keep looking left until you see a yellow box with a crate on top blocking a gate. The personal letter is on top. If you are still struggling to find this letter, you should know it’s near a church. Look for its spire.
A Childish Party
After finding the first personal letter, cross the bridge nearby to the right. You should see a checkpoint at the top of the staircase ahead. Go inside the small building behind. There’s an enemy inside. After taking them out, pick up the personal letter from the table.
I Miss You So Much
Go west of the building that has a target namedEloi Costeinside. Follow the path, and you’ll find a soldier by a campfire. Take him out with a silenced pistol to avoid detection. Then, collect the Personal Letter from the bench opposite the flames.
It is All in Ruins
Now, go into the building with Eloi Coste inside. It’s located in the northwestern region of the level. Don’t enter the room through one of the front windows. There are many soldiers enjoying a drink at the bar. Go through the back and up to the second floor. Go to the end of the hallway and take the last right. Beside the bed on the right side, the Personal Letters are on the bedside table underneath.
Be A Man, Not A Boy
Southeast of the Bunker and south of the center of the map, you’ll find a small building that acts as a living quarters. It’s near the cranes. In the top right of the room, you’ll find a desk with the personal letters and a key. You’ll also find a cool rocket launcher in the room.
Chapter 6 Personal Letter Locations
Just Do Your Job
Enter the front entrance and keep walking up the main roadway. You’ll see a building in front of you that has a damaged roof on its right side. This is where you need to go. Go up the rubble ramp and the ladder. Go inside the second floor of the building, and you’ll find the first personal letter on a weirdly pristine wooden crate next to a PIAT rocket launcher.
I am Fed Up
Northeast of the target, Uwe Schoene, you’ll find a church. Head inside, and you’ll find a strange lab set within the building by going down the left hallway. Walk to where the table is and turn left. The personal letter is located on a stone table near a candle.
Something is Strange
Northwest of the yellow circle outlining where to destroy the Anti-Air guns, you’ll find a town in rubble. Take the path closest to the castle wall and then go into the closest destroyed building. On the second floor (by going up a rubble slope), you’ll find the personal letter on the floor.
Beautiful Fools
You’ll find this one at the top of the castle in the northern area of the map. Go to the top roof where the elite sniper is.
Fools Everywhere
To the west of the target’s red objective circle, you’ll find a road that goes off to the left. Head down the pathway next to it, where some pink houses are. They’re opposite a clock tower and near the castle wall. On a table next to a yellow bin, you’ll find the personal letter.
Chapter 7 Personal Letter Locations
What Do They Want?
The first personal letter is on the southern side of the map near a river and a reservoir. Cross the bridge and turn left. At the building that’s the most southern on the map, you’ll find the first personal letter on a table near some wine bottles.
Everything is Fine
Northwest of the vineyard, you’ll find a building that’s east of where the kill target is on the map. You’ll know you’re in the right place if you see a green rusted tractor inside. To the right of the ladder, you’ll see a big coil of wires. On the top of it, you’ll spot the next personal letter.
I Feel Uneasy
Inside the second building to the right of where the underground facility is, you’ll find the second personal letter. When you enter inside, you should hear some music from the record player and a rooster figure on a wooden table. Go to the attic upstairs, and the letter is on the other side of the room by the window next to a torch.
Lying is Necessary
This letter is located near the V1 rocket launch site that’s northwest of the yellow main objective where the underground facility is. To the right of the base, you’ll find a small square building connected with a wire. Pass the green door, and you’ll find the personal letter to the right.
Do Not Worry, Mother
In the same area as the kill target on the map, you’ll find the last personal letter for this level. Go upstairs in the main building of this area. You should be hearing some music on the record player. In the office with a portrait of an aristocat, there is a letter to pick up on the cupboard.
Chapter 8 Personal Letter Locations
Victory is Imminent!
Go to the south section of the map and below the Find and destroy flak batteries mission area, you’ll find a wrecked building that has three floors. Go up to the top, and a sniper may be waiting for you there. Take him out. To your right, you’ll discover the first letter on the top of a chest of drawers.
Home Soon, My Love
East of the map and northeast of the Find and destroy flak batteries mission area, you’ll find a circular domed bunker to the right. Go inside, while being weary of the soldiers stationed outside. On a table to the right of the entrance, you’ll find the next letter.
What We’ve Achieved
The third letter is found within the western main mission, in which you’re finding a way to trap the Zugwerfer. In its circular ring on the map, you’ll find this letter within the northwest of this area. It’s in a building next to the train tracks and a crane. You’ll have to go upstairs to reach it. Once you’re there, you’ll see two soldiers talking to each other. Throw a grenade to dispose of them. Next, you’ll see a door that needs to be opened. One of the soldiers you just blew up should have the key to get into the Foreman’s Office. To the left, you’ll find the next letter underneath a big lamp.
Burn After Reading
Follow the tracks north of the map. They’re further north from the central main mission area where that location’s Zugwerfer is. You’ll find a small station building near a steel bridge. Inside, there’s a grey table with the letter on top.
I Think This is it
The last letter of the game is inside the main building in the center of the map, where one of the Zugwerfers is. It’s called a Blockhaus, according to Hawker. Go inside and head to the southern section of the building. Go to the back offices and then go upstairs. You should see an Allez Travailler en Allemagne poster with the initials S.T.O. on it as you go up the stairs. The last letter is on a table underneath a lamp. You should now have the Pen Pal trophy or achievement if you’ve collected all the personal letters. Congrats!
